Er verandert veel in de zorg. Dit brengt voor veel mensen onzekerheid met zich mee en vraagt een enorme aanpassing van gemeenten, Wmo raden/ participatieraden en gemeenteraadsleden.
 
Wat betekenen de veranderingen voor mensen?
Voor patiëntenfederatie NPCF en het Nationaal Ouderenfond is het vooral de vraag, wat de veranderingen betekenen voor mensen die zorg nodig hebben. Wat is het effect op hún leven, als de gemeente straks verantwoordelijk is voor de ondersteuning? Wat verandert er in de dagelijkse werkelijkheid van mensen met een beperking of een chronische ziekte als de verpleging van verzorging via het loket van de zorgverzekeraar geregeld wordt? Wat betekent het voor ouderen? En wat betekent het voor mensen die voor iemand zorgen?
 
Elk verhaal telt
Mijnkwaliteitvanleven.nl, initiatief van patiëntenfederatie NPCF en het Nationaal Ouderenfonds brengt, is een hulpmiddel om in beeld te brengen wat voor mensen belangrijk is en welke zorg of hulp daarbij past. Zorgbelang Overijssel is als een van de samenwerkingspartners aan het initiatief verbonden.
 
Vragenlijst
Mijnkwaliteitvanleven.nl is bedoeld voor ouderen, mensen met een beperking of chronisch ziekte en diegenen die zorg dragen voor een naaste met een chronische ziekte of beperking. Via de kwaliteitsmeter, een online vragenlijst, brengen deelnemers hun ervaringen en kwaliteit van leven in kaart. Wie ondersteuning nodig heeft bij het invullen van de (online) vragenlijst, kan een beroep doen op een vrijwilliger. 
 
De kwaliteitsmeter als persoonlijk hulpmiddel
Het invullen van de vragenlijst helpt mensen om onder woorden te brengen hoe het met ze gaat en wat van invloed is op hun kwaliteit van leven. Door middel van een persoonlijke rapportage kunnen zij vervolgens het gesprek aangaan met hun naasten, zorgverleners, arts of gemeente.
 
De kwaliteitsmeter als invloedrijk instrument
De kwaliteitsmeter verzamelt alle ervaringen anoniem. Onderzoeksinstituut TNO analyseert de ervaringen per gemeente, per regio en landelijk. Zo ontstaat er een duidelijk en feitelijk beeld van hoe het met mensen gaat en wat de effecten zijn van de zorg en ondersteuning die ze krijgen. Daarmee kunnen patiëntenfederatie NPCF en het Nationaal Ouderenfonds in samenwerking met de partnerorganisaties, invloed uitoefenen op het ministerie van VWS, gemeenten en uitvoerders van zorg en welzijn, zodat zij waar nodig het beleid aanpassen.
 
Oók interessant voor uw gemeente
Voor uw gemeente kan het dus heel waardevol zijn om deze informatie breed te verspreiden onder ouderen, mensen met een beperking of chronische ziekte of mantelzorgers. U kunt met de uitkomsten van dit onderzoek werken aan kwaliteits van leven voor de burgers in uw gemeente.
 
Samenwerking
Patiëntenfederatie NPCF en het Nationaal Ouderenfonds werken voor dit landelijke project samen met Per Saldo, Mezzo, Zorgbelang Nederland en ouderenkoepel CSO. De organisaties spannen zich samen in om de kwaliteitsmeter aan zoveel mogelijk mensen beschikbaar te stellen. Ten eerste om hen ermee te helpen. Ten tweede omdat met zoveel mogelijk verzamelde ervaringen en gegevens, de kans het grootst is dat de zorg ook echt om mensen blijft draaien.
 
Verspreiding binnen uw gemeente
In de bijlage vindt u een korte tekst die u kunt gebruiken ter verspreiding onder uw burgers. Dit kan via brieven, nieuwsbrieven of andere (sociale)media.
